I had stopped bothering with my reserved domain due to monthly costs, but stumbled into Jolly Leaf's free tier. Their limitations are reasonable and it's plenty enough to run a very small wordpress or single page site on Jolly Leaf.
The default cpanel theme for Jolly leaf servers was a surprise bonus--very clean and nice. Not a big deal, but in general the design of Jolly Leaf's pages is very clean and professional, better than the hosting provider I use for my paid site actually.
Support is responsive and quick on Twitter even for free accounts.
I had been hosting with Hytek Hosting for some time - years in fact. I was becoming fed up with the lack of service, technical assistance, and the downtime of the hosting. Jolly Leaf approached me over social media (Twitter) to give it a whirl.
I'm quite happy I switched! I started with the USD 29/3 months plan for a basic website for my research (poorlydone.com), and was able to smoothly migrate everything over with the help of their technical support team. Overall, the migration took about an hour and everything worked smoothly.
So far so good, and I'm very happy I switched! Much more bandwidth than before, larger storage space, and much cheaper!
